What happens in this clip (spoiler)

Show the hazard and the clues

Brake lights come on far ahead and spread back through the traffic towards you. The hazard develops when the car directly in front brakes hard. Looking well ahead lets you ease off early and keep a safe gap - at least a two-second gap in the dry.

  • Traffic ahead brakes sharply – scoring window from 13.6s to 18.6s (5 points in the first second, then 4, 3, 2, 1)

How this clip is scored

Like the real test, each developing hazard has a scoring window split into five parts. Respond early in the window for 5 points; later responses score less, and responses before or after the window score 0. Clicking constantly or in a pattern scores 0 for the whole clip.
