Free ADI Part 1 Mock Test

100 questions, 90 minutes, 4 bands of 25, pass mark 85 with at least 20 in every band, just like the real ADI part 1 test. Free, no sign-up.

How this ADI part 1 mock test works

  • 100 questions spread across all 4 bands, as in the real test.
  • 90-minute countdown that turns amber at 5 minutes and red at 1 minute.
  • Flag and review questions from the review grid before you finish.
  • Real pass rules: at least 85 overall and at least 20 in every band.

A high total isn't enough. If any band scores under 20, the mock shows a fail, just as the real test would.

Read your band breakdown

Your results show your score in each band, weakest first. Use the "Revise this" link to practise that band, then review every answer with its explanation. Your best score is saved on your device, so you can track your progress with no account.

Get the most from each mock

Sit the full 100 questions in one go to build your stamina for the real test. In the review, don't stop at the right answer: as an instructor you'll need to explain it, so make sure you understand the reasoning behind each one. Practise your weakest band, then take a fresh mock until you're clearing 20 in every band with room to spare.

Don't forget hazard perception

ADI part 1 also includes a 14-clip hazard perception test with a pass mark of 57 out of 75. Practise with our free hazard perception test and aim well above 57. For the full test rules, see our ADI part 1 guide or GOV.UK.
